OVERVIEW

Situated on the southern Coast of the Arabian Gulf, Dubai makes one of the seven most fascinating emirates of the already magnificent United Arab Estates and accounts for the largest population in UAE. Over the years, Dubai has emerged as one of the global cities in the world, known not only for its prowess in business but also as the cultural hub of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region. In fact, the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, resides in Dubai along with the marvelous skyscrapers all over the city. Every year, it attracts thousands of tourists owing to the mouth-opening man-made islands and amazingly biggest shopping malls, which no doubt, serves as a treat to the tourists. This includes the world's largest shopping centre, Dubai Mall.

Lately, archaeologists have been able to uncover few astonishing historical sites which are rich in archaeology and now have become tourist’s attraction in recent years, such as Al Sufoh and Jumeirah. A glimpse of a bygone era can be easily caught in the marvelous beauty of the Al Fahidi Fort, Sheikh Saeed’s House, and the Bastakiya. Dubai exhibits an active nightlife unlike many other countries owing to astonishing hotel bars. In fact many of them feature pianists, duos, bands nightly and guitarists. The Burj Al Arab is a 7 star luxury hotel known for its design that exhibits a steel exoskeleton wrapped around a reinforced concrete tower. Other than the serene beaches and sands, the city flaunts the ‘Dubai Miracle Garden’ which is currently the world's largest flower garden. The tourists don’t need to worry about their transportation since the city offers all modes of transport including the Monorails as well.

While the Republic of Mauritius is an island nation residing in the Indian Ocean at the proximity of about 2,000 off the southeast coast of the African continent. It owes its beauty to the amazing location, proximity to the islands of Mauritius, Rodrigues, the islands of Agalega and the archipelago Saint Brandon. Known for its democracy and economic freedom, the country is multi-ethnic and multi-cultural as well.

One can really get a hang of Mauritius by its calm beaches rich with white sand, along with sun-soaking ambiance. Indeed, the waters are packed with water sports, under the clear blue sky such as kite-surfing and deep-sea fishing. Tourists don’t have to make much arrangement as most beach hotels provide complimentary water sports facilities including Scuba diving, parasailing. For those who love diving in vast waters, the island’s safe lagoons stretching up to the barrier reef provide a wide variety of dives that leaves one mesmerizing.

For the nature lovers, it goes beyond sun and sea. The island is blessed with rich flora and interesting fauna. One such green attraction is the “Black River Gorges National Park” which also inhibits some of the rare and native species that can only be found in Mauritius. Although, the island doesn’t have any sort of railways but in order to deal with increasing road traffic congestion, a ‘Light Rail Transit system’ was proposed lately.

The delicious food and a vast variety of cuisines along with the already heart-pleasing ambience, leaves no option for the nature as well as travel-lovers, but to explore the two most beautiful cities in the world. One is not left with much when it comes to describing the whole experience that makes one feel alive.
